The contestants of the German team P&S Metalltechnik are favorites also at the fourth stage of the 68th International Cycling Tour of Bulgaria.
Michel Aschenbrenner was the first who crossed the finish line in front of Burgas Municipality with time of 2:09:02 h. and received his award from Dimitar Nikolov, mayor of Burgas Municipality.
His teammate Immanuel Stark retained his leadership in the interim ranking and put the yellow jersey on once again, this time awarded to him by Nikolay Bayryakov, Manager of Burgas Head Agency of DZI.
The last stage of this race with length of 188 km will start from Karnobat town, while the big final will be in Gabrovo town, on Vazrazhdane square, which is expected to happen around 04:30 PM.
Two premium sprinting races have been planned, as well as two premiums for climbers – at Tvatditsa and Shipka.
Without any doubt this will be the royal stage of the Tour, which will prove decisive for the final ranking. In contrast to the 3-rd stage, when the climbing of Shipka pass was at the beginning of the route, this time it is at the end and its length is 13.5 km. We should not overlook the accumulated fatigue from the previous stages, as well as an eventual side wind in the region of Sliven town.
The envisaged grants are the following: 10, 6 and 4 seconds for first, second and third place in the separate stages and 3, 2 and 1 second for first, second and third place at the premium sprinting races. The following rankings have also been envisaged: main -individual, best climber, most active contestant, best performer up to 23 years of age, as well as team ranking.
