If you are an owner or user of a motor vehicle, registered on the Republic of Bulgaria’s territory, which use has not been suspended, DZI will assist you in the conclusion of a mandatory Motor Third Party Liability Insurance.
Each concluded MTPL Insurance for passenger cars with up to 9 seats, freight vehicles of total weight up to 3.5 tonnes, trailers, luggage and camping trailers of total weight up to 3.5 tonnes, mopeds and motorcycles is being topped up with:
| Insured period: | 1 year |
| Other conditions: | As per the Insurance Code in certain cases it is possible to conclude an insurance policy for a shorter period of time, however not less than 30 days |
The scope of insurance is the liability, related to owning and/or using motor vehicles, for which Insurees are liable pursuant to the Bulgarian legislation or the legislation of the country where the damage has occurred.
The coverage and the liability limits under your insurance policy are stipulated in Ordinance 49 and in the Insurance Code.
What is being insured in the liability of natural persons and legal entities for property and non-property damage, inflicted by them to third parties, up to the following liability limits:
| For property and non-property damage, resulting from bodily injury or death: | Up to BGN 10 420 000 for each event, regardless of the number of injured persons |
| For damage to property (possessions): | Up to BGN 2 100 000 for each event, regardless of the number of injured persons |
An MTPL Insurance can be supplemented with additional coverage options at preferential price in case of a vehicle’s immobilization as a result of an insured event or technical failure, as well as other risks as per the terms and conditions of the Roadside Assistance Insurance.
