German victory marked the second stage in the International Cycling Tour of Bulgaria

The second stage of the 68th Cycling Tour of Bulgaria with the general sponsorship of DZI, the company with the longest history and experience on the Bulgarian insurance market, was held on 02.07.2021.
Immanuel Stark from the German team P&S Metalltechnik was the fastest along the 113-kilometer route between Plovdiv and Troyan towns.
Stark reached the finish point in front of the building of Troyan Municipality for 2:53:44 h. It was he who was also the first to reach the highest point of the route – Beklemeto - where he won also the premium for 1-st category climbers.
Beklemeto is deemed one of the most difficult heights in Bulgaria due to its length of 22 km and average slope of nearly 6%. The winner was awarded his yellow jersey by Diyana Stoynova, Chief Commercial Officer and Member of the Management Board of DZI.
The sequential third stage of the 68th Tour of Bulgaria will be held on 03 July - 180 km between Troyan and Sliven towns, which will start in front of the building of Troyan Municipality at 12:00 PM. The finish point in front of the Sliven Municipality building is anticipated to be reached around 04:30 PM.
