KBC Group has opened an innovative hall with cutting edge equipment at the Technical University - Varna

The Belgian KBC Group has opened an especially equipped space in the Technical University - Varna (TU-Varna), where students are able to use cutting edge equipment for communication and development of their skills.
„KBC Collab Space“ is an innovative interactive hall, which aim is to facilitate the study process at Technical University-Varna, to promote and further develop the interest of students towards technologies and to assist in the exchange of ideas, knowledge and expertise. The hall is intended to be used both for events and initiatives of Technical University - Varna, as well as for workshops, video conferences with lecturers from Bulgaria and abroad and presentation of diploma thesis.
The modern hall was opened on 26th May through an official ceremony at the university by Mr. Todor Petkov, General Manager of the Shared Services and Digital Technologies Centre in KBC Group and the rector of the Technical University - Varna - Prof. Dr. Ventsislav Valchev.
„Digital technologies and instruments at „KBC Collab Space“ provide a variety of opportunities for development of concepts, work under joint projects and acquiring of new knowledge. Apart from investment in modern and technological space for students, our aim is to establish positive work space, where the sharing of new ideas and knowledge is going to happen in modern business environment.“, commented Todor Petkov.
In 2021 KBC Group opened a Digital Development Center in Varna, which has positioned itself as one of the leading employers in the field with nearly 700 employees. Its core activity is implementation of various IT projects, supporting the digital transformation of the banking and insurance companies within the KBC Group. This is the second centre, which the Group establishes in the seaside capital city - after the Shared Service Center, opened in 2019.
