Immanuel Stark from the German team P&S Metalltechnik is the big champion at the 68th International Cycling Tour of Bulgaria

The final stage, which distinguished the big champion in the race - Immanuel Stark from the German team P&S Metalltechnik - was held on 05.07.2021. The contestant from Germany has been undisputedly winning the races, one after another. Stark received yet another yellow jersey from Kosta Cholakov, MB Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DZI.

The fastest cyclist at the final stage of the Cycling Tour of Bulgaria was Timo Kielich from team of Alpecin-Fenix Development Team. The Belgian finished first with time of 4:26:01 after the royal stage with length of 188 km.

Out of the Bulgarian contestants the best performer was Preslav Balabanov, from the Nessebar team, who finished among the first and just behind the top ten.

The Hungarian Rose Balazs fom the team of Epronex-GESU Bikewear put on the green jersey for best sprinter.

Once again the German Immanuel Stark also put on the jersey for best climber – a white red-dotted one.

And the white jersey for best cyclist up to 23 years of age was presented to Georg Steinhauser from the German Team TIROL-KTM.

The first place in the team ranking was won by the contestants from Electro Hiper Europa (Spain). The Polish team Voster ATS Team ranked second. The ladder of honour was joined by the contestants from the Belgian Alpenix-Fenix Development Team.

The 68-th International Cycling Tour of Bulgaria was held at an increased interest. It involved 25 teams respectively from Bulgaria, Poland, Greece, the Ukraine, Hungary, Denmark, Germany, the USA, Italy, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, France and Romania.

Within 5 stages cyclists went through 7 milestone towns in Bulgaria and travelled over 800 kilometers.

It proved an interesting and exciting tour, featuring challenged stages and many memorable moments.
