DZI won the award in the "Business Transformation" category of the "Manager of the Year" 2023 awards

DZI is the winner in the "Business Transformation" category within the "Manager of the Year" 2023 competition for senior managerial achievements, organized by Manager magazine for the 16th year in a row. The company, a leader in the insurance market, was awarded for the innovative digital platform go.dzi.bg, through which it provides online sales and service, as well as a complete customer experience in a digital environment without visiting an office.
"This year DZI turned 77 years old. It is a huge challenge for us to transform the company from a stable, reliable partner to its customers into a modern, digital company that is perceived in a completely new way. Our new platform, which makes a huge part of our services available online, Our new platform has resulted in over 50% of our customers choosing to service their claims online. I thank all colleagues from DZI and UBB who participated in the implementation of the project, because for us it was a joint, group effort within the framework of KBC Group in Bulgaria", commented Kosta Cholakov, CEO of DZI, upon receiving the award.
The online platform offers automated online underwriting processes, after-sales service, online payments and insurance claims handling. Potential and current customers of DZI can conclude an insurance contract themselves or take advantage of another insurance service through the go.dzi.bg platform, and for bank insurance customers, some of the services are available in the mobile application of UBB, part of KBC Group..
DZI registers a constant growth of the so-called digital onboarding and online sales. In terms of claims servicing, over 30% of Casco customers and over 40% of household property insurance customers are serviced online. The main benefits are related to the optimization of the time to settle a claim and the optimization of the resources required for the processing of claims.
The process of filing a Casco insurance claim through the customer portal of DZI is the first process based on artificial intelligence, not only in the Bulgarian market, but also in the entire KBC group. It allows the customer to inspect the damage to their vehicle and receive a letter of assignment to repair the damage without having to visit an office. The inspection is carried out through the client's mobile device and the video material is processed by an algorithm based on artificial intelligence, which determines the type and degree of impairments without additional human intervention.
"Manager of the Year" 2023, organized by Manager Magazine, highlights and distinguishes good practices and leaders and professionals who contribute to the Bulgarian economy and change the business climate. That is why the competition works with a complex evaluation methodology for all companies that have submitted applications, which undergo a selection according to a special methodology in three stages. In addition, the evaluation of all applying companies is carried out by Deloitte Bulgaria.
The award of DZI in the "Business Transformation" category is another recognition for KBC Group in Bulgaria. In 2015, the winner of the "Manager of the Year" award was Peter Andronov, then CEO of CIBANK, and today CEO of KBC's International Markets Business Unit, responsible for Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia and Ireland, and chairman of the Supervisory Boards of UBB and DZI.
